RCIA, now also called OCIA, is the ministry dedicated to those seeking to formally enter the Catholic Church.

Our mission is to walk with catechumens through their period of discernment before fully becoming a member of the body of Christ.

Over the course of 20 weeks, our small team walks with those investigating Catholicism, preparing for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.

Our meetings are a place for teaching, reading Scripture, discussion, questions and prayer.

This period is focused on teaching or clarifying some of the basics of the faith, with an emphasis on Catholic distinctives. We try to give our catechumens extra insights from the Church’s rich traditions and the lives of the Saints to shine more light on the Church’s unique and robust conception of Christ, life, the world, the faith and First and Last Things.
